Paradise Found

  • In the begining of the episode, Gabrielle strips and dresses in front of Xena.
  • Xena and Gabrielle wake up in Aiden's world.
    • Gabrielle says: "I fell down a hole..."
"Yeah, what is it with you and holes, huh?" quips Xena.*
    • Aiden lists the benefits of staying in his land for the night.
      • "A warm bath?" asks Gabrielle. Aiden smiles. Gabrielle slaps Xena on the back and grins, looking at her.
    • Xena and Gabrielle share a bath. While in there, Gabrielle gives Xena a backrub.
    • Xena walks in on one of Aiden and Gabrielle's yoga sessions. She looks very jealous.
    • Xena and Gabrielle sleep in the same bed, or at least two beds that join together, forming a yin-yang symbol.**
    • Xena and Gabrille discuss Aiden.
      • "Ah Zeus, you don't really like this guy?" asks Xena. Gabrielle says nothing. Xena gets angry. "That's it, isn't it? You like him. I should have known."
    • Gabrielle feels comfortable walking in on Xena's bath. While talking, they hold hands.
    • Aiden tries to get Xena to leave his domain by saying she will hurt Gabrielle.
      • "No, I would never hurt Gabrielle."
"You say that. And you even believe it. But if the darkness within you wins, no one is safe. Not even the people you love."
    • Xena strips Gabrielle and gives her a massage.
      • While doing so, she says: "We've come a long way, the two of us. (Lie down.) And you've taught me a lot, about kindness, and mercy, and love."
    • At the end of the episode, after all that has happened to them, the one thing that is bothering Gabrielle (besides being naked) is something Xena said at the begining of the episode.
      • Do I really have hands like a salior?" she asks.
    Notes:
To me, this was a very sensual episode. A lot of the scenes between Xena and Gabrielle, like the bath scene and the massage scene, were directed lovingly. In the first, the whole bath scene is done in one long take, with steam rising off of both of their bodies, and emphasis placed on the lap of the water. In the latter, the camera is always focused on the hands as they are touching Gabrielle.
It's amazing, but considering that she walks around in a skirt and a sports bra, the last two episodes have focused even more on Gabrielle's body. Any excuse for her to strip seems to be a good excuse. Not that i hear anybody complaining.
