- Xena responds to Gabrielle's poem about the season only when it gets to something aproaching 'intimacy.'

- Gabrielle tries to persuade Tara to stay away from the town.
- "I think that you should stay with us."
- Xena gropes Gabrielle while they go to bed.
- "I gotta dance," says Gabrielle, rising from her blanket.
- Xena whips out her hand and pushes Gabrielle down, leaving her hand on Gabrielle's chest a little longer than is necessary.
- "Go to sleep," mumbles Xena.
- Instructing the children in dance, Xena refers to Gabrielle, saying "My lovely assistant and I will put it together," and then they dance together.
- When the children come out dancing for their parents, Tara and Gabrielle dance together in the foreground.
- The episode ends with a slow motion hug between Xena and Gabrielle.
If "Footloose" needs anything, it is a parady, not a tribute. At least Tara was not as annoying in this episode as she was in "Forgiven."
Also, all the main characters in this episode end up dancing with a male partner except Gabrielle; she always dances with females.
Oh, and this episode was directed by Michael Hurst.
